hello jrene

I remember growing up in a little town where everyone said hello to everyone no matter if they knew each other or not. The stranger greeted friendly and my old teacher even remembered my name.

Now 25 years later, in the time of digital communication, living in a big city, communication changed. We communicate everywhere and with everyone but simple words as “hello jrene” are rare. It makes no sense in a SMS because the receiver knows that the message belongs to him, in a tweet you will use 140 characteres for more important things and even in emails a “Hi” is mostly all you can read. Furthermore there are “followers” and “Facebook-Friends” and people in “Circles” who don’t even know your real name.

I personally like the communication in 2011 but nevertheless a “hello jrene” would be nice to hear more often. Therefore I started this blog to collect “hello jrene”s from everyone, everyhwere in the world.
